10 mins before flight... i was sitting near the crowd of passengers of flight D7 2717 air asia to kuala lumpur near Gate 5...next to me is a couple of makcik and pakcik cina who came to visit their daughter and their grandkids in Perth...in front of me there was this young malay husband and wife average 30+ with their 3 sons..one of their son was crying..wanted to buy a toy at the airport but the daddy refuse...and try to talk him out slowly
then..came a team of flight attendance all in red uniforms for the stewardess and in black suits for the stewards led by the 2 captain pilots in front...smart as always...leading their way to the gate

it's time already...but there seems no announcement made by the flight attendance to go on board...there was also no sign of the air asia aircraft...the only plane that i could see thru the thick fog that morning is the emirates
suddenly there was an announcement...the flight that was supposed to land at perth airport that morning was diverted to melbn due to the heavy fog in perth's sky that morning...the aircraft was unable to land so they had to divert to the melbn international airport which will take them another 4 hours flight...the flight attendance also announced that any breaking news will be told later...the passengers were also told to hang around for a while in the airport and were given a $10 breakfast coupon

i sat around waiting anxiously of when would we be able to fly back home...hilang dh smgt balik msia that morning...the pakcik cina beside me try to borak2 with me...he told his wonderful experience of traveling the whole world...he said he had been in most of the continents except for antartica...he told me about this experience in egypt, india, china, europe and also japan...(how i wish to travel the whole world like him too)..he also has a son in japan who is now wed to a local japanese girl...we also talked about the politic crisis in perak as he is from ipoh...then he went to have some breakfast with his wife...he asked me to join him but i wasn't in the mood for coffee right now..too many people were lining up for breakfast that morning

finally i decided to have some mocha and a choc chip muffin that morning...it cost me more that $10 ok..still i have to topup some of my own money that morning...($10 dol mn cukup maaa kt airport nih)...so i sat by the corner..minum slowly..buying some time sambil dgr lagu james morrison at my ipod...then another announcement came...all of the passangers of flight D72717 were allowed to go wondering around the airport until 2.00pm..haih..another 5 hrs to go..nk wat apa seyh..pikir jugak nk balik umah jap tp leceh la nk kena dtg balik jap lg..tambang taxi lg..i then called berg..knowing that he was awake that morning...dia lak tgh shopping2 brg nk masak kuzi for lunch..dem..time aku nk balik br nk masak kuzi kn..xpe la..merajuk seketika

kami passangers smua dihalau dari kawasan gate ke tmpt arrival...our passport dicop 'never departed'...so i hangout at the arrival seat..with my laptop..try to search for any free wireless...but tetiba..kena bayar la pulak..$10 for 15 mins online...so sempat la i curse2 sket pasal that misfortune day kt facebook and berchat2 kt ym..lgpn xbwk la pulak adaptor so terpaksa la bertahan ngan limited time my laptop bateri had left

my laptop bateri dh abis...so i went back up to the departure gate to find out any news about my flight...the screens showed that my flight was labeled diverted and will arrived at 3:00 pm...i then asked the flight attendent for any confirmation..she then told me that my flight will arrived at 4.30pm...pulak dh...n handed me another $10 coupon for lunch...the only thing that i could afford with that coupon is a lemon tea drink bottle and a plate of wadges...(xsedap langsung!)...i then called intan..she was having a feast ngan dak2 lain kt umah berg mkn kuzi...jeles giler!..haha..fine..xde rezeki that day

i then masuk balik kt ruangan gate...gate kitorg dh ditukar ke Gate 1...bila pikir2 balik nasib baik xde connecting flight to alor star..klu x mmg terlepas n terpaksa bermalam kt kl for one night...i decided to go back early as it was school holidays and my family is in kl at that time..so my dad just pick me up straight from lcct instead of taking another connecting flight to alor star..klu x planningnya mmg nk balik on the 14th june...but then the school holidays will be finished already

after 2 hours lebih flipping thru my ipod..(smpai nk abis bateri ipod tu)..the aircraft finally arrived...everyone clapped as we saw the flight finally landed in perth..kesian lak kt org2 yg dtg dr msia thru that flight..mesti almost 11 hours dok dlm flight je (kl-perth-melbn-perth)

i finally made it to seat 23A...dok sebelah tingkap...(i said to myself..."xpe..yg penting selamat smpai")...xnk la jadi apa2 drama pulak kn on the way tu...sayonara perth..will be back on the 11th july =)

back in kl akhirnya! my family pn dh smpai to pick me up...12hrs in perth airport...what a day~
just like heaven~ having cheese cake as your dessert after every meal for a week! hehe tanks to cik siti aminah yg sgt baik hati yg telah membuatkn kami sebekas cheese cake yg sedap giler, by using only 4 main ingredients! amazing n easy to do...just need sebuku cream cheese, setin condense milk, a couple drops of lime flavor and also sepeket agar2 (menggantikan geletin)..and also biskut n butter for the base...no need to bake..just put it in the fridge~ nice one! (mmg gemuk smgu nih...but worth it! =p)
to Puan Sabihah...may u rest in peace...semoga aunty bersama org2 yg beriman..amin~you had been the mother to us during these past three years especially during hari raya..we'll gonna miss ur ayam golek yg sgt special~ my prayers are always with you...so grateful to meet a person so special like you..tanks for everything
and to my dearest fren fateen..just be strong ok..i know u can do it~ just want to see those wonderful smiles again..and to Mr Rosli i hope u too bnyk2 bersabar dengan dugaan yg Maha Esa ini..dan sesungguhnya Allah sentiasa bersama org2 yg bersabar amin~
19 March 2009~ thursday a very special day for me that day~ yes 1. it's my besday; 2. my convocation; 3. my family coming; 4.my almost cinderella story =D
all my frens were here during this special day~ dearest shu n fateen (finally we grad!..alhamdulillah...time do flies so fast!) and thanks for those who came that night with lovely flowers and also for the wonderful besday cards...not to mention the card from ireland...really appreciate it! =D
the best part is that i get to celebrate my besday with my family..rasanya dh lama kot xcelebrate besday kt umah..n dpt celebrate kt perth pulak tu kn...i had a marble cheesecake that night...so yummy! n a new member in the room...Mr Mini-grad and Ms Pink-horn...so cute!
berbalik kpd crita 'the almost cinderella story'... on that day i was planning to wear my golden baju kebarung n to match it with a golden slipper which i had one at home and i wore it only once for the last five years...n rasa malas actually nk beli kasut baru sbb nk pkai pn just for this one time...alkisahnya masa dh nk naik pentas nk salam ngan VC, tali kasut bahagian depan tetiba terputus~ dem..saat2 nih la nk putus kn...mmg struggle giler nk jalan turun dr pentas..takut kasut tertinggal atas stage..smpai shu pn prasan muka cam emo2 je masa turun dr stage...saba je la...n then bila dh smpai kt tmpt duduk..tiba2 ada satu safety pin betul2 bwh kerusi in front of me~ what a miracle..the small safety pin yg rasanya smua org pn wat xnmpk yg rescue me that night...apa lg..terus amek safety pin tu n pin kn balik smua tali2 kasut yg putus tu..just to hold on until i get out of the dewan n to wait for my brother to get me another slipper in the car yg mmg sengaja bwk in case of an emergency like this~ thanks intan sbb bg pinjam slipper =D
this would be the convocation that i will never forget..taun depan convo lg Insya Allah..tp xsure lg nk dtg k x sbb sama je ceremony dia..bukannya VC tu bg scroll pn..sijil dok dlm file kt tmpt duduk...file lak cam file masa orientation first year~mayb klu dpt first class hons i would come..hehe we'll see!

this is our last year in perth, as usual we will be going to masjid hepburn for solat raya...n yg xbest sgt tu sbb hari yg agak mendung n cam nk ujan and it was wednesday, the middle of the weekdays...but that all didn't kill our spirit to celebrate hari raya...this year we had guests from outside perth including fateen's parents and also miss sharinie a.k.a mrs asrul all the way from melbn that morning i woke up at 340am becoz i have to go to work at 4am and worked like a bz bee as we aimed to finished work by 6am to be able to make it on time for solat raya...giler kn...nasib baik xkeje kt reid lg masa tu...pengalaman bekerja di pagi raya...interesting!and this year we had 3 pelita's in front of our house that malam raya...this year we didn't organized an open house becoz we had to sleep early for work tomorrow not to mention the condition of the house which is too small for a big open house (some guest might have to eat outside)...so we just had a small makan2 still bertema kan raya of coz...
p/s: last year's raya was the best i reckon as we had an open house where most of our perth malaysian frens came (macam nk pecah umah tu hehe) and it was saturday!
it's not a photoshop, it's real but only for personal use..hehe...not to be published all around australia...the IKEA booth at the PERTH ROYAL SHOW 2008 has done a remarkable job this year by promoting this kinda cool stuff!
this is the funniest and most memorable thing that i've done in my 3 years of uni life studying in UWA...a photography session for the uni prospectus!
it all started when me and shu went to the international centre at uni to settle some stuff when we were approached my the staff there to do the photography session for the UWA prospectus- the domestic prospectus...sounds like fun! so we agreed to do it
it started on monday the 13th october, gathering around the usual places where the students tend to hang around like in front of the winthrop, the corridor near geology building, the path way under the big tree, the hacket cafe and also the sunken garden...took about 4 hours..lingering around, chatting, acting, pretending and making new frens with other students who were also in the photo session the interesting thing is that it's kinda funny to pretend that u know each other well and pretend to laugh and having an enjoyable time although u're just flipping a thick boring book which is full of words and no pictures in it! we've also walk along the same path for hundreds of time just to get the best shot, and not to mention to ignore other students who were passing by and watching at ur 'acting' session..for me and shu, as everyday we see and talk to each other, it seems that we've run out of ideas as to what to talk about and ending up just "bla bla bla" (seriously i said those words) when the photographer took our pictures
on the next day, while i was heading to my audit tutorial class after a 10am afm lec, i saw the photographer and the other crew lingering around the guild market (while their photos were being taken) and decided to say hye when suddenly the photographer ask me to pretend to look at the dresses for a photoshot, which then i told him that i was on my way to class and just came around to say hye, not for a photoshot..which then he took it anyway...hehe
then the next day, i went for the cover page of the prospectus which took place in front of the wintrop hall, and the best part is, i was presenting the muslim community in the prospectus which i think was very honourable...it was really fun and i cant wait to see those pictures! feels like a superstar for a while lol!

today's my first day as a makcik cleaner uni...huhu...bekerja bukan kerna kesempitan uwang atau masa lapang yg terlalu bnyk tetapi bekerja kerna pendapatan yg lumayan gitu...bayangkn sebulan dh leh dpt $1200 which is sama nilai ngan duit scholar kitorg dak2 JPA...rmai je rakan2 yg dh lama berkecipung dlm arena cleaner uni nih cam atiqu, yeng, berg, saufi, anep, fateen n shu (also the newest member of the cuci2 service nih)...tugas dia xberat pn, kalau cam pg td which is kol 5 pg (yes...5 am in the morning...awal giler kn) sy ditugaskn oleh ms marion yg baik hati tu utk kemas2 office2 tingkat 2 n 3 maths building...so sekadar empty the dustbin n kemas sana sini n toilets skali...teringat zaman keje ngan nisa yg garang tu dulu masa first year...asyik kena marah je pasal cermin xcukup sparkling..hmm...tp pengalaman ngan nisa tu la yg ajar camne nk jd cleaner yg seyes...wat keje ngan betul n bersungguh2...haha
by the way, me n shu jugak ade lg contract kerja cuci umah mr raj n pn alison nih kt south perth...anak2 dia lawa2..mix om putih ngan hindustan...umah org2 kaya kn..time2 kitorg kena kemas umah dia tu..time2 tu jugak umah dia terabur giler...nenek dia pn ade gak kdg2 supervise kitorg wat keje...nenek diorg tu yg kitorg panggil 'aji' (which is nenek dlm bahasa india) moden giler...siap bwk merc lg..dia crita dulu dia duduk kt san francisco, umah anak dia yg sorg lg..caya la nenek...mgu nih pakcik raj tu suh dtg umah tp sbb ade klas so terpaksa la tangguh smpai mgu depan..dh la still in demam2 mood nih..demam sejak main futsal tu xbaik2 lg =(, still sore throat, padahal xde la main lasak sgt n yes...kitorg menang silver medal (go XOXO!)
hmm...tomorrow will be another day as a makcik cleaner...kena tdo awal n bgn awal..harap2 dh sihat sket esok (mayb kena letak tuala yg dibasahkn ngan air daun bunga raya kt atas dahi lg la mlm nih) n harap2 dpt bertahan lama kerja nih...maklum la tgl brapa bulan lg nk mengumpul kekayaan haha

exams are over...the holidays has started...and i'm here all alone at home...smlm br je g anta my housemates g eastern states kt airport...shu n has g canberra-sydney-gc-brisbane-tassie-melbn-adelaide...fateen lak g gc skali ngan rombongan potet smua n the g brisbane for MASCA...but before g anta diorg rmai2 kt airport smlm (cam anta rombongan org nk g aji)..kitorg g melantak pizza kt mundareng dulu...n celebrating Qurosnye besday with a cheesecake n telur2 yg kena baling kt badan dia...meriah giler la smlm..borak2...gelak2...bukak balik crita lama..even re-told balik lawak tatu sayur tu...macam dh lama xjmp...gonna miss that moment...
well i still got 8 days to go before i fly to tassie...nk kena plan nk wat apa snjang dok kt umah nih...pg td dh melayan desperate housewives finale...the a couple of movies n tv shows kt internet..wat house cleaning...kemas2 umah..vakum...(selama brapa mgu xkemas umah sbb exam week)...lepas nih kol 11 layan sinderella pulak...tomorrow nk baking2 ngan helwa...n not to mention...my dad's besday..hehe =D...just dont forget to call abah esok
the second year of hari raya in perth..huhu mmg terbaik! bermula ngan solat sunat raya kt masjid hepburn, masjid melayu kt perth nih...setengah jam nk smpai sana pn...bertolak kol 715pg (menurut ketua konvoi..din)..rmai2 konvoi g masjid...kete kitorg..mak ayah fateen pn ade...kete hisham (anep bawak), kete din, kete zaq, kete saufi, kete berg, kete poknik, kete ujang, kete atiqu...stat dr nedlands...the best part pasal masjid nih sbb rmai org melayu..yg tua2..yg muda2...khutbah pn dlm bahasa melayu...makann pn bnyk lepas solat raya tu..kitorg selepas makan apa lg..dok sakan bergambar la depan masjid..huhu...as usual..geng kitorg jugak la yg conquer pagi2 raya every year~ after that..semua org konvoi beramai2..10 bijik kete g umah abg fazil n kak aza...comel giler arr baby diorg!!! pastu g umah aunty murni..makan sate..sedap! hari pn panas giler tgh hari tu...kenyang..mmg lepas g umah aunty murni terus balik umah sbb nk masak for malam tu pulak...
kitorg wat open house that night...macam2 food ada..ada nasik tomato, pulut kuning, rendang ayam..ayam golek, kek pelangi, nasik impit, kuah kacang, kueh raya, pudding n macam2 lagi...org yg mai pulak smpai 50 org..penuh rumah nih...ada bukak crita 'waris jari hantu' mak fateen bawak dr malaysia sempena raya... guess what...gambar kitorg 3 org kuar utusan online salam perantauan...huhu mmg timing baik punya!
the next day lagi sakan..ada 6 buah umah buat open house...start ngan umah Dr Shah pagi tu makan nasik lemak for breakfast, then umah kak ti makan laksam, umah lynda makan soto, poknik makan sate, umah hana (go wat nasik minyak..impress giler) time smpai umah hana pn dh nak maghrib...malam lak open house umah atiku...mmg penat makan je...huhu penat je turun weight sebulan posa...dh naik balik in two days...mmg terbaik!
haih..dh abis dh bulan puasa...sekejap je rasa...tiba2 pada sahur hari terakhir..terasa sayu pulak...cukup k aku beribadat sepanjang bulan nih...apakah aku betul2 menghayati keberkatan bulan mulia nih..adakah aku merasai malam lailatul qadar...hmmm
macam2 kenangan sepanjang bulan posa nih...bermula ngan kehadiran berg n potet depan pintu umah kol 430pg yg dtg nk makan nasi lemak for sahur....kitorg yg g umah diorg pulak ngan potet wat home-made pizza...dibalas kunjungan diorg ke umah kitorg makan nasik goreng n kitorg g umah diorg makan nasik goreng potet smbil tgk crita 'kami'...huhu tu br crita sahur..xmasuk lagi crita bukak posa...kitorg bukak puasa umah potet lagi bukit smbil tgk crita upin n ipin n sambung pulak crita cekarama selepas solat taraweh..huhu mantap2..bukak posa ngan geng2 mounts bay..bukak posa ngan geng jpa..bukak posa ngan has ngan fadil n le'...bukak posa umah danone...bukak posa kt musola...bukak posa kt gerai2 multicultural week nye gerai...best2....harap2 taun depan dapat bersahur n berbuka puasa ramai2..bersama kawan2...meriah!
weekend nih mmg terbaik arr...dh la bulan puasa kn..it started with a long and busy week..full of assmts...company law assmt..n then corporate financial policy nye assmt the week after...mmg busy...rumah pn bersepah2 ngan buku2, notes2 semua... yg paling best about this week mesti la pasal multicultural week..ade student2 n org luar bukak gerai2 makanan kt uni..ala2 pasar malam...1st night kt UWA on 4th oktober (thursday night) poknik, pojoe n saufi bukak gerai warung cik kiah 'the trios'..diorg jual nasik lemak...mmg laku...cepat je habis..xde sambal tp gantikan ngan sosej pn still laku...isk2..hehe..pastu diorg jual sosej..kuih lapis n seri muka...n xlupa ayam percik poknik yg special...mmg sedap giler...xtau la secret resipi mn dia dpt..huhu
sebelah gerai diorg lak potet, salleh n anep nye gerai...macam2 diorg jual...ade fried mars bars (sedap giler..very unic), ade fried coke, ade popia, ade fishball, donat n macam2 lg...mmg org penuh giler kt gerai nih..dh la danone yg jaga counter...asyik bg discount jer...huhu..'macam mn mau untung bang?'..hehe
wapec pn ade bukak gerai jugak..diorg jual murtabak, air katira, ice cream goreng (mmg terbaik!) and also mee cantonese... not to mention gerai2 yg lain...tp 3 gerai nih je la yg slalu dilawati pn..huhu support member nye pasal...
esok malam tu pulak curtin uni nye pasar malam...yg ni lg besar n lagi best..semua gerai dia letak syarat jual halal food, g ngan potet, berg, rai ngan shu....skali lagi poknik join UMNO nye gerai..jual burger lak..mmg laku abis..i got the last burger...huhu, pastu ada sotong bakar..ade sate..ade bubble tea (tp bila smpai je counter terus dh abis..damn~)..performance dia lg dasyat..ade african dance, ade capuera (hmm how to spell it eh?), live band..kol 11 br blk dr c2..has ngan danone yg dh patah blik lepas anta atiqu yeng n bob balik pn smpai2 jer terus performance dh abis...huhu sian diorg
the next day..saturday afternoon, we went to Perth Royal Show.. me, le', yeng, gg, berg, kodok, alip, fadil, fateen n has...its the last day...nk masuk pn kena bayar $22 for adult...tp berg ngan kodok bli concession tiket sbb diorg menyamar as a high school student...lol..i spent around $108 there termasuk enterence fee td tu...bli show bags for my adik2...spongebob, thomas n friends..hehe..n some for myself...makann for bukak posa (bubble tea!)..xnaik pn rides...pastu ade 1 drama ngan st john ambulance nih...hehe..one of our fren, Mr X (bukan nama sebenar) tiba2 cram seluruh badan selepas naik Orbito (one of the most sengal nye rides..sakit badan2)..terpaksa la dia bkk posa..tp sapa ntah tersalah bg pepsi kt dia..dh la perut kosong...mmg terbaik arrr...muntah2 mamat tu...haish....kesian dia..xpasal2 kena ganti puasa nnt...mmg jadi bahan lepas nih...lol...we stay there till night..watching the fabulous fireworks..mmg best!
then esok tu...ingat kn nk rehat2 je bcoz its sunday...planning nk wat kueh raya..mama carrie k samprit k..awal2 pagi lg dh g IGA bli bahan2 wat kueh...tp alih2 sbb nk bli wok nye pasal...dh terspend another $80 kt habour town...mula2 nk g ikea nk bli wok sbb mak fateen nk dtg dh mgu nih for raya...alih2 ikea tutup lak...so we decided to go to habour town...saje2 nk tgk apa yg ada..tp mmg terhajat dh nk g...ingat nk bli baju br...its the first time g habour town since blk dr new zealand..nk save duit nye pasal..lol...nasib baik scholer nk masuk dh ujung bulan nih...i spend bnyk sbb nk bli baju la...brapa pasang ntah baju bli...camni la klu dh lama xshopping kn..isk2...malam lak bkk posa kt umah bob..diorg wat makan2...atiqu wat pudding pelangi...has wat pudding roti..pastu ade mee gorg..air bandung...samosa..popia...mmg terbaik!
haih...tgl lagi sebulan nk final exam n lagi 5 ari nk raya...i've still got 1 assmt due next week but better wat dis week sbb weekend nih raya...n then another group assmt due the before study leave..huhu...exam~dh la on the 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th nov...4 papers in a row...in a week!...mmg TERBAIK arrr...mati la~this sem pn dh nak abis...huhu..1 more year to go!
we went to the world's amazing circus performance~ Varakei Cirque Du Soleil~ which started at 4pm till 630pm...dh la first day berpuasa...so kitorg semua which is 21 org...me, fateen, shu, anep, alip, kodok, zaquan, keme, hazel, bob, yeng, gg, imran, poknik, ucop, pojoe, lynda, helwa, shakri, danone n fitri pn bkk posa rmai2 kt dlm tu...mkn popcorn yg masin (hazel yg baik ati blanja), choc (6 doller..mahal seyh) n air kosong...nasib baik kodok bwk mars...untung gak dok sebelah dia...huhu
the performance was superb! mmg best! tp xde la nk expect tgk gajah2 or harimau beraksi or ade badut2 wat lawak...its more like acrobatics...org2 dia nyanyi live ala2 soprano...lagu2 dia mmg best!...kagum giler arrr..pastu ade satu performance dia nyanyi lagu spanyol yg ade dlm crita mokhsin tu (part mak n ayah orkid menari2 tu)...penat aku ngan has nk ingat blk lagu tu dlm iklan apa...rupa2 nya dlm crita mokhsin..lol!
unfortunately cameras are not allowed in the circus..so sapa2 nk tgk performance dia kena la bli tiket sndr (xde la mahal sgt..kitorg dpt discount from $89 to $76)...or klu xde duit..leh kot tgk kt tenet...try la cr..tp sure xsebest klu tgk live kn...hehe
8th sept 2007 (saturday) we had a merdeka feast which was conducted by UMNO, MASCA n other organization yg ade kt perth nih...the weather at first was not so pleasant, sat2 ujan...sat2 cerah balik...dh la wat kt open air..tp xpe..smgt merdeka yg penting kn..huhu
mula2 ade perarakan..ade kontigen WAPEC (budak2 pet)...postgrad (diorg anta anak2 diorg yg comel2 masuk perarakan)..curtin uni students, MASCA, and not to mention UMNO..of course...huhu..JPA-MARA kontigen yg paling smart arrr...siap pkai blazer lg...(bayar blazer mahal2..baik pkai kn)...n guest what...we won the parade!!!..huhu
the best part masa feast nih is the zapin dance...(xde la zapin sgt..more to like joget..but we prefer to call it that way..lol)...kitorg (saufi-lynda, pojoe-keme, me-afiq, danone-fateen, hazel-berg n salleh-helwa) berjoget n bertwist kt padang yg tgh becak n lecah..huhu...smgt punya smgt kn...walaupn ujan rintik2..the show must go on!!!..(mati la klu mak aku tau aku berdansa dpn org rmai kn...huhu)
lepas tu ade bnyk lg performance..fadil n keme nyanyi lagu 'Big Girls don't cry"..pastu ade tarik tali..team uwa guys kalah ngan geng curtin..(adeh..camne nih guys)..the gurls lak menang..huhu..keme ngan lynda smgt tarik tali ngan baju kebaya lg...pastu ade silat...alip ngan kodok siap pkai tengkolok...ganas jugak la diorg bersilat...kuros, salleh pn masuk..caya la korg! mmg hebat..cuak aku tgk...mmg best!
